For those who have completed a residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, we offer a focused, dedicated Fellowship in Laryngology/Care of the Professional Voice. Our fellowship was one of the first fellowships emphasizing professional voice care, and we provide our fellows with a well-rounded, comprehensive fellowship experience. The fellowship duration is one year. It encompasses all aspects of laryngology including evaluation and management of airway disorders, swallowing disorders, laryngopharyngeal reflux disease, neurolaryngology, vocal fold paresis and paralysis, laryngeal manifestations of systemic disease, and laryngeal cancer, with an emphasis on professional voice care.  Our fellows work closely with Drs. Sataloff and Lyons in clinical activities as well as in clinical and basic science research throughout their fellowship year.  The fellowship includes voice training and performance experience.

The match process is run through the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). Applications are made to the program directly and should begin with a letter of interest to the Program Director.  A cover letter, CV, and at least two letters of recommendation will complete the application. Please feel free to contact the Fellowship Director and/or the Fellowship Coordinator with any questions.

Clinical Observations and Research Fellowships

For nearly 40 years, we also have offered a small number of clinical observation and research fellowships for our colleagues in the United States and our international colleagues. Graduates of our international fellowship have established voice centers around the world. We also provide mini-fellowship and fellowship experiences for speech-language pathologists, singing teachers, acting teachers, nurses, psychologists and other voice professionals. In addition to our clinical fellowship program, we offer research fellowships to students, residents and otolaryngologists who are interested in gaining research experience in Laryngology, Professional Voice Care, Otology, Neurotology and other aspects of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. Those interested in our research fellowships should send a curriculum vitae and letter of interest to Dr. Robert Sataloff.

***Questions regarding any of these fellowship programs should be directed to the Fellowship Director (rtsataloff@phillyent.com) or the Fellowship Coordinator (office@phillyent.com).
