Is there a relation between arthritis and hearing loss?
Arthrides (inflammation of joints) and vasculitis (inflammation of blood vessels) commonly are associated with hearing loss. These include conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus erythematosus, giant cell arteritis and others. The hearing problem is probably related to vascular abnormalities associated with these diseases.
